Wayne State University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Anti-Infective Research Laboratory has post-doctoral fellow positions available in Dr. Michael Rybak’s laboratory. There are three research tracks available. Track 1 is a laboratory-based pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) translational program in bacterial resistance therapy. Track 2 is an ID applied epidemiological outcomes assessment training program that emphasizes bacterial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship. Track 3 is a hybrid program that integrates both the PK/PD laboratory experience with ID health outcomes assessment. These programs offer hands-on laboratory and health outcomes assessment instruction, classroom training, and practical clinical experience. The training encompasses experiences in scientific writing, grantsmanship, experimental design, and the ability to take the lead role on several funded research projects. Fellows will have the opportunity to present their research at local, national, and international forums. The research fellow will also have the opportunity to instruct students in both classroom and clinical settings.
