Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship
Job Summary
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship to join our team.
Memorial Hermann-TMC has multiple infectious diseases consult teams (general, immunocompromised, and surgical) supported by several clinical pharmacy specialists, has a long-standing antimicrobial stewardship program, and is a designated IDSA Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence.
This position will have the opportunity to practice in adult inpatient infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship.
PGY2 Residency or Fellowship in Infectious Diseases is highly desired. Will accept PGY1 with 3 years' experience in infectious diseases and/or antimicrobial stewardship.
This position develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy programs to improve patient care with an additional focus on decreasing cost; provides clinical services to patients and professional staff; interacts with medical staff on drug utilization and cost containment. Additionally, this position provides opportunities for multidisciplinary and resident education, as well as research.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, PGY2 residency or fellowship
