The CHI St. Luke's Health-Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center/University of Houston College of Pharmacy Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Fellowship combines infectious disease clinical practice and research in a two-year program. First year of the program will be rigorous clinical training at BSLMC in the renowned Texas medical Center. The second year of the program, fellows are based at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy where they will have a more extensive research focus. Research is conducted with expert faculty researchers in one or more diverse, infectious disease disciplines including antimicrobial resistance, C. difficile infection, microbiome science, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and pharmacoepidemiology. Academic opportunities at UHCOP include precepting APPE students, teaching didactic lectures, hands-on assistance with skills labs, and interaction with student organizations.
