This PGY-2 infectious diseases pharmacy residency allows for diverse clinical, educational and research opportunities. Residents will rotate through core infectious diseases rotations including antimicrobial stewardship, general ID consults, transplant ID consults, microbiology, and infection control. Loyola offers a variety of elective experiences including pediatrics, community antimicrobial stewardship, solid organ transplant, hematology/oncology, bone marrow transplant, and critical care. Residents will complete one research project, CE seminar presentation, medication use evaluation, and a separate writing project.

The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency conducted by Loyola University Medical Center has an accreditation pre-candidate status with ASHP for the 2025-2026 residency year.

Applicants must possess a PharmD degree, have completed a PGY1 residency program, academic transcript(s), curriculum vitae, and 3 letters of recommendation. Applicants must be eligible for Illinois licensure.
