UofL Health offers an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists-accredited Post-Graduate Year Two (PGY2) Infectious Diseases (ID) Pharmacy Residency in Louisville, Kentucky. This multi-site residency, that occurs at UofL Hospital and Jewish Hospital, offers advanced training that builds upon an acute care PGY1 to focus specifically on the field of ID pharmacotherapy and management. The program is structured according to ASHP Residency Program Design & Conduct and will be tailored to the resident’s professional goals and interests.
This comprehensive training program incorporates direct patient care, administrative learning opportunities, teaching, and research experiences with a focus on the provision of pharmaceutical care as an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team. The PGY2 ID Residency is a 52 week long program. There are eight required rotations (9 months) and multiple elective opportunities.

Stipend: $57,200
Benefits: Our residents receive UofL Hospital employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending account and life insurance. Residents will receive 12 scheduled PTO days during the residency year and will staff two holidays per year.
