PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident

The PGY2 infectious diseases pharmacy residency at UnityPoint Health Des Moines – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is a 12-month program.  The PGY2 infectious disease pharmacy residency program at Iowa Methodist builds upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency program with a focus on infectious disease pharmacy to instill evidence based infectious diseases practices, collaboration amongst the healthcare team, leadership skills, and well-being and resiliency to set residents up for future successes as an infectious disease pharmacist.  The training program will allow the resident to explore a wide array of ID practice settings including both adults and pediatrics. Research opportunities throughout the program will focus on quality improvement and antimicrobial optimization. The resident will also participate in interdisciplinary teaching opportunities across multiple disciplines. Interested candidates may apply via Phorcas.
