The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital provides a comprehensive infectious diseases experience. As a resident you will have the opportunity to work with infectious diseases pharmacy and physician clinicians with expert knowledge and skills in both clinical infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. The program has a robust preceptor group, with nine infectious diseases clinical pharmacist across the system. The antimicrobial stewardship program provides high quality care through numerous approaches including prior approvals, prospective audit and feedback, integration of rapid diagnostics, PD dose optimization, education, and clinical guidelines. Residents will rotate and work with clinicians at both main campuses allowing for development of expertise across medical, surgical, and immunocompromised patient populations, including solid organ transplant recipients and hematology/oncology/stem cell transplant patients.  All residents are required to complete rotations in core subject areas considered essential to providing a well-rounded experience. In addition, a wide variety of elective rotations are offered, allowing residents flexibility in pursuing their individual areas of interest.

Special Requirements for Acceptance: Doctor of Pharmacy degree; completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (or equivalent); eligibility for New York internship permit and licensure; College of Pharmacy transcript; curriculum vitae, letter of intent, three references within PhORCAS, and onsite or virtual (as applicable) interview.

How To Apply:

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program and eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in New York State. For PGY2 residency programs, applicants must be completing or have completed an ASHP-accredited or candidate-status PGY1 residency.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Pharmacy Residency Programs participate in the ASHP Resident Matching Program (National Matching Service). Applications must be submitted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) by January 2nd, 2026 .
