One Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Infectious Diseases position is available. In this role, you'll work closely with medical providers, other Clinical Pharmacy Managers, Operational Pharmacy Managers, and pharmacy staff to implement quality patient care services. You will join an already successful team of eight additional ID clinical pharmacy managers across the healthcare system. Candidates will be expected to design, implement, and monitor pharmacotherapy of general and immunocompromised adult ID patients through multi-disciplinary rounds and daily antimicrobial stewardship activities (prior authorization as well as post-prescription review), and provide education to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the health care teams.
Other responsibilities include review of antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance data, developing, implementing, managing and reporting results pertinent to continuous quality improvement and expense reduction programs related to the patients serviced, maintenance and review of institutional ID guidelines and policies as a member of the Formulary and Therapeutics Subcommittee of Antimicrobial Use, as well as participating in pharmacy student, PGY1 and PGY2 residency training. Many opportunities will be available to use problem-solving and decision-making skills, and to conduct ongoing research that helps advance the practice.
